Our programmes of the Russian Language and Russian Studies are administered by the Centre for Intercultural Communication, a unit of the International Affairs. We have a long-term experience in teaching language courses for non-native speakers of Russian. Since the early nineties of the last century we have been offering both standard and flexible, student goal- oriented programmes. Thousands of students mostly from European and North American home universities and colleges have upgraded their Russian language skills in our Centre and have got Certificates of Attendance /Achievement on completion of the programme.

Preparatory Department plays a significant role in helping foreign applicants to learn Russian and prepare for their studies at the university degree educational programmes. The Russian language is a core subject, so after successful completion of the course, the level of proficiency in Russian will be at least B1.

In case you are interested in studying here, you may be registered for the course at any time. Applicants with any level of the Russian language are accepted. Step by step they acquire higher reading, grammar, listening and conversation skills. They are offered a standard or tailored programme according to their interests and home-placed accommodation (if needed).

Costs

Tuition fee for individual tuition and tuition in mini-groups (2-3) is 1000 RR per academic hour 

(45 min).

Tuition fee for larger groups is 160 000 RR - 1-2 modules of the programme (one academic year);

240 000 RR - 1-2-3-modules of the programme (for the full programme).

Standard language course implies 15 /20 classes a week.

Start of the programme - September, 10.

Accommodation at a host family costs 12 000 RR per week. 

Lodging, breakfast and evening meals are included in this price.

Airport pick-up may be arranged, if needed. Every season we arrange 1-2 trips to nearby sites of interest (Uglich, Kostroma, Rostov Velikiy).
