Land Law in the Southern Nigeria: Genesis and Peculiarities of Appliance

Abstract: The article covers South Nigerian land law, which incorporates Nigerian law, English common law and customary law. The elements of multilayer legal system are examined in historical context. Peculiarities of traditional land tenure in Southern Nigeria which became the basis for customary land law and history of English common law integration with existing law system during Colonial period allow seeing the interaction of different legal land systems in modern Nigeria and the mechanism of resolution of judicial disputes on land matter based on possibility to handle legal matter in different legal systems.

Patriarch Tikhon’s Message from January 19, 1918: Printing, Distribution and the First Response of the Soviet Authorities

Abstract: The article is dedicated to Patriarch Tikhon’s message from January 19, 1918, which anathematized people persecuting the Orthodox Church. The article analyzes the historical context of the message, the problem of its printing and distribution, as well as an immediate response of the Soviet authorities. The article introduces the previously unknown documents from the State Archive of the Russian Federation and the Russian State Archive of Ancient Documents (Moscow).

On the Improvement of Criminal-Legal and the Other Branches of the Law Means Against Illegal Organization of Gambling in Russia

Abstract: In the present article problems of campaign against illegal organization of gaming in Russia are considered. The author makes specific proposals on improvement as art. 171.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and the legislation of other branches of law. In particular, a need for introduction of art. 171.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation of an administrative prejudition as the illegal sign alternative to the large size of the income locates.

Motives in Students’ Learning Activity at the University

Abstract: This article considers the questions of dynamic development of motives in students’ learning activity at the univercity. Basic learning motives of students have been revealed. Differences in the degree of their expressiveness on the analytic level of research have been determined. Features of the structural organization of motives in 1–5 year-student learning activity as well as applicants to the Faculty of Psychology have been analyzed. Key points of changes in students’ learning motivation have been described.

Deprivation of Needs as a Mechanism for Conditioning Protest Moods

Abstract: In the article the results of research of mass protest moods which found its reflection in the political actions in Russia immediately after the elections to the State Duma of RF (Dec.4, 2011) are considered. We test the hypothesis that it is the deprivation of post-material needs that explains the rise of the protest moods in Russia. Herewith the imbalance of the expectations and the existing possibilities is realized in accordance with the pattern of the progressive deprivation, when the possibilities are relatively static and the expectations are increasing.

The Notion «Maturity» and Major Epistemological Approaches to its Investigation

Abstract: The article covers the analysis of the theoretical and empirical research of the psychological notion «maturity». It is based on the historiographical analysis of the main psychological theories from abroad and the acmeological approach in psychology in this country. The notion «maturity», major approaches to its research, psycho-social and socio-psychological types of the personal and group maturity are considered in the article. The socio-psychological maturity, its types and structure, the peculiarities of its manifestation in different fields, its main forms, the stages of its development are among the matters of topical interest of further investigation.

Interconnection between Teenagers’ Evaluations of Themselves and Supposed Notions by their Parents and Classmates

Abstract: The article explores the meanings of self-awareness and self-understanding in the process of personal cognition as well as the mechanisms for gaining this knowledge. According to the results of the empirical research method, the majority of teenagers considered themselves as having positive personal qualities which coincided with their parents’ opinions. As a result, considerable coincidence of the teenagers’ opinions about themselves and the supposed notions by their parents gave an idea that the parents view their children in the way the teenagers do themselves which is called «teenagers social egocentrism».

Creativity as a Determinant of the Structural Organization of Metacognitive Properties of Personality

Abstract: In the present article the interconnection between the level of creativity development as one of the general abilities of a personality and its metacognitive properties is considered. The existence of the relationship between a structural orderliness level of metacognitive properties and creativity is proved. This relationship consists in the following: if a level of creativity increases, a level of structural orderliness of metacognitive properties decreases.

Future is the most valuable period of life. Time is being experienced as rich of events, fragmented and having high speed.

Individual and Organizational Determinants of Burnout Development among Teachers from Pre-school Educational Institutions

Abstract: This article studies the urgent problems of personal mental burnout. In particular it specifies the factors which determine its development in professional activity of teachers from different educational institutions. Analytical and content differences among the compared groups of teachers are identified which become apparent in different organizational and individual factors of burnout development and burnout itself. It is proven that burnout of teachers is influenced by professional environment and individual peculiarities of a subject.

Gender Features of Written Language and its Perception with Specialization Factor in Mind

Abstract: The paper presents the results of linguistic experiment demonstrating the tendency of language usage by men and women in writings. Is suggested a technique of linguistic survey designed to determine what language features are reflected in the mind of native speakers as gender-marked, and to reveal a gender stereotype perception of writing and the influence on it of such social factors as specialization.
