Roman Republican Proquaestor: Definition of the Concept

Abstract: In the article the author gives examples from the literature of definitions of the term ‘proquaestor’. The author argues reasons for these definitions being either incorrect or exhaustive. The Roman proquaestorship records in epigraphical and narrative sources are analyzed with the terms that mean proquaestor – ἀντιταμίαςand proquaestor (pro quaestore). The author proposes her own definition of the term under research. ‘Proquaestor’ is an official performed the quaestor’s duties beyond the bounds of Italy on the basis of a Senate decision (in emergency cases on the basis of imperium bearer) among the quaestors of the year preceded of the proquaestorship beginning or legates (permanent authorized officials under magistrate/pro-magistrate with imperium appointed by Senate).

The Question of Auvergne’s Status in 475 AD

Abstract: The article is devoted to territorial issues of the treaty between Romans and Visigoths in 475 AD. The author argues that the classical historiographical point of view on this treaty as exchange of Roman Auvergne to Visigothic Septimania is not correct. The opinion of some researchers about this treaty as an equal conversation between the emperor and visigothic king Eurich is proposed to be wrong too because lack of relevant sources. An alternative explanation of the treaty’s meaning is proposed and argued in the article. The treaty is viewed as the result of inner provincial struggle between aristocracy’s factions. In such conditions the treaty is considered as natural and ordinal agreement for preservation of peace, justice and defense in local level.

The Parishioners of the Yaroslavl Eparchy in 1960–1980-s

Abstract: The article examines the religiosity of Yaroslavl region residents in 1960–1980-s. It’s based on sociological studies, questionnaires, reports of the representative of the Council for Religious Affairs in the Yaroslavl region. The author investigates the ritualism, the attitude towards the Orthodox faith of rural and urban residents, schoolchildren; analyzes the sex and age composition of parishioners of the Yaroslavl eparchy.

Urban Life Renovation in Yaroslavl at the Turn of XIX–XX Centuries

Abstract: The given article deals with the problems of Yaroslavl city environment at the turn of XIX- XX centuries within the limits of the renovation processes that have spread over the Russian cities. The purpose of the investigation is to state the renovation influence upon the everyday life of the city and its people. The results of the investigation showed that during the period in question Yaroslavl had undergone changes in social and legal spheres, and the process of the personality genesis had started up. The close connection was revealed between renovation of the city infrastructure and changes in the way of life and awareness of its people that had mastered innovations.

Debatable Aspects of Definition for the Finishing Time of Criminal Action in Practice of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation

Abstract: In article the analysis of interpretation is carried out by Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and opinion of experts in questions of qualification of illegal sale of drugs during the test purchase which is carried out by representatives of law enforcement agencies and receiving part of a bribe in the presence of intention on its receiving in a large size.

Abstract: The article analyzes rules development trends oncriminal responsibility for crimes against the constitutional order and security of the state, established under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in 1996. Conclusions are made about the prospects for further improvement of the provisions of Chapter 29 of the RF Criminal Code.

Public Control as a Form of Stirring up Citizen Activity (in the Yaroslavl region)

Abstract: This article discusses the regulatory framework for the public control in Russia, estimates the proposition of the Federal Law “On the basis of public control in the Russian Federation”, adopted in July 2014. It is concluded that the bill was originally carried certain new ideas which under implementation could somehow affect the development of the institution of public control in Russia, however the final text clearly shows that the law was adopted as a framework. The law does not contain any previously stipulated new control mechanisms, neither it adds any new control subjects. In fact, for public chambers, community councils, public watch commissions the adopted law will not make any changes. They will keep working according to previously adopted special regulations in the framed capacity. It can be stated that the idea for the creation and consolidation of regulatory fundamentally new mechanisms of social control has failed. Based on the research in the Yaroslavl region the authors state the fact that, despite the possibility of regulatory consolidation of civilian control, it is underclaimed in the region.

Abstract: Consciousness is viewed as a basic category of modern psychology. Transformation of individual and group consciousness in the conditions of contemporary globalization is stated. The social dynamics of rationality types is determined: myth, faith, knowledge (scientism), collective sense, individual sense. The trends of liberalization and extremalization of religious, ethno-national, legal and regulatory consciousness is analysed. «Collision»of traditional values, innovative perspectives and pragmatic decisions for management is recorded/, Certain areas of empirical research are highlighted.

Transformation of the Crisis Condition into the Process of Emotional Experience

Abstract: This article discusses issues related to the content of the psychological help to a person experiencing a personality crisis at the stage of transformation of the crisis into the process of experience. Memorization Planning as a Regulating Mechanism of the Memory Abilities

Abstract: This article is devoted to studying of the regulating mechanisms of memory abilities and their functioning in a situation of complication of the material to remember. We define the regulating mechanisms as an organized and dynamic system of the means and methods required for conscious management of functional system of activity corresponding to the level of abilities. Empirical research of memory activity in the course of task complication showed that memorization planning is one of the key regulating mechanisms of memory abilities.
